Help young Nunavummiut build meaningful entrepreneurial opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Join the Inspire Nunavut team and help us empower the next generation of youth entrepreneurs. Since February 2016, Inspire Nunavut has worked with over 100 youth in all 3 regions of Nunavut, helping them build new businesses and social enterprises. Inspire Nunavut has helped youth create mobile hair salons, material stores, taxi businesses, parka making businesses, gift shops, bakeries, hunting supply stores, and much more!

Over the next 3 years, we will work with hundreds more youth in over 20 communities. We need passionate, motivated people to join our team and support to the success of our entrepreneurs.

Community Managers are in charge of overseeing day to day program activities. They provide direct support to community coordinators and to the entrepreneurs.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the delivery and implementation of the Inspire Nunavut Accelerator program activities, schedules, budgets and expenditures;

  • Travel to communities to provide in-person support (on occasion);

  • Provide support and coaching to the local coordinators on a day to day basis;

  • Assist coordinator in providing individualized support to participants;

  • Document and report on program activities on a bi-weekly basis;

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in the community and in the territory;

  • Deliver group workshops on entrepreneurship and personal development via teleconference;

  • Create customized weekly lesson plans for coordinators to follow, based on Inspire Nunavut’s curriculum outline;

  • Gather and mobilize knowledge and resources that add value to the entrepreneurs’ learning;

  • Work with the local coordinator and executive lead to match participants to mentors;

  • Provide administrative support as needed.

  • You are a self-starter;

  • You are result oriented and driven;

  • You have an interest in and base knowledge of business and entrepreneurship;

  • You are passionate about seeing youth in Nunavut succeed;

  • You speak english and Inuktitut;

  • You have strong decision making skills;

  • You have strong conflict resolution skills;

  • You have strong interpersonal skills;

  • You are a great communicator;

  • You know how to build and manage relationships with stakeholders;

  • You have programming experience;

  • You know how to work well with people;

  • You are flexible and respond quickly to change;

  • You are organized and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
